Buy it, PERIOD!

Ive downloaded countless apps for making midi based music with disappointing results. I think Ive found the app Ive been looking for! All of the others were too hard to use or lacking needed features. All of the synthesizers are awesome and entering notes is very easy. This app blew me away. You rock, Korg!

Best app for making beats sampled or synth or both and electronic music. I spent awhile on cubasis and bm2 now I just use gadget and sample my other synth apps with audio bus and audio share then import into one of the sampling gadgets it gives a traditional sample chop vibe anyway great app for so many gene research get all the gadgets smooth no crashing or ripping noises on air1 and air2

Ive been throughly addicted to Gadget after my friend said, "just try one tap, I guarantee youll be hooked." Needless to say, he was right and I now compulsively load up Gadget every morning and tap like a mad man. Somehow, this app makes music so good that I obsessively shove it into my ears. #thankskorg

Ive been playing with music for over four decades. My keyboard chops arent the best, but I know enough to compose. Ive used computers in my composition since 86 when I got Hybrid Arts SMPTE Track and my AtariST. Ive since moved onto other platforms, but there has always been the lure of a portable composition environment when youre not able to fire up the whole studio. There are some extraordinary options on iOS including Sunvox and Caustic (which I have and enjoy). However, for clean, quick composition and ease of use, its hard to beat Gadget. The modeled synths are wonderful and the interface is downright elegant. Also, Korgs famous "motion" technology is in full force so you can automate all sorts of elements of the instruments during sequencing. And if that wasnt enough, the instruments are really easy on the eyes too. Its not the cheapest app Ive purchased for composition on the iPad, but its a fraction of what Ive paid for similar products on the PC or Mac (or the old Atari, for that matter). Using it in conjunction with my X-key 37 is really quite a treat. One word of caution - Many people think of this as a dance music creation tool. Sure, you can get all EDM on this, but you bring to it what you want. Ive been exploring ambient music and its just as qualified for that. Dont let the tool define your music - this can be whatever you want. Make good music and enjoy it! Peace.

The thing I like most about Gadget is how easy it is to build the kind of sound you want with the streamlined, easy-to-use synth engines. The new advanced MIDI settings are great, and its probably the best piano roll editor on iOS. It would get 5 stars from me if it had IAA support for recording other synth apps into Gadget-based songs, or a Gadget that sent MIDI to a virtual or hardware port.

For someone who is always humming or whistling a tune, its great fun!

Pretty cool app, but severe latency renders it unusable for me, as well as the fact that editing of the notes you input is rather user-unfriendly.

Great app, sings with the ivory piano in Salzburg. Would like a better sampler and audio tracks, loving the per-channel compression and EQ and other recent improvements to UI and "undo". Great job KORG

BRUH, yall really outdone yall selves with this DAW. My only complaint is the lack of a really good sampler. Like the one in garage band.

Amazing!! Worth every penny

This is a killer app. Awesome sounds, easy interface, save for a few small-ish buttons on a few of the gadgets. There are two in-app purchases. Of the two, the Bilbao drum machine is my favorite by quite a bit. It has 12 Rawcutz drum kits in it. If youre into 90s hip hop beats, youll understand how awesome that is. The Dublin synth is awesome, as is the analog percussion synth. So much tweaks fun to find in this app. Cant believe its on iPhone!! Between iDS-10 and Gadget, Im not sure Ill ever sleep again. No need for any other music apps other than Filtatron and GarageBand, really.
