KORG Gadget 3 App Reviews

I cant say enough to tell you that this app is probably the only one you need to start an adventure in music construction. I cant say you wont need apps like Cubasis or Auria to introduce other apps into your mix. But if you like working with midi like I do to tweak things, this is the app for you.

Its a mini Ableton. Sometimes quirky, but some of that is the iPad Air 2. I love the program! And having the iM1 in the mix is AWESOME!!!! I would love to see audio added. But if not, there are easy workarounds! Keep it up.

Kong Gadget is great when it doesnt crash. Im using it (was using) on an iPad Air 2. Crash. Crash, Crash. Until this bug is squashed, the app is useless!

Very simple operation, and great sounds!! Need to fix latency issue. Also needs to be able to record parameter tweaks and should be audiobus and or inter-app audio compatible. Last thing would be the ability to import your own samples. I really really dig this app and its going to be a major part of my IOS music creation workflow. Update: I originally installed on my iPad. Just installed on my iPhone 6 Plus. I just assumed that I would be able to reinstall purchases, but Korg has this weird remote install. You open Gadget on your iPad and iPhone, connect both devices to the same wifi network and hit install. Ive been trying for over an hour and it is just not working. Why cant we just restore purchases like every other app? Had to take a star away until that issue gets resolved. Latency is still an issue too.

I love it more then any other instrument in the whole world. Better then computers. Better then any studio. Better then any music you can buy or listen to anywhere. Better then any movie/ tv show/ entertainment. Better then any relationship. The reason technology was created. Planet Awesum. Sell/ give away, everything else in your life, drop all your fake friends you have to constantly babysit, erase all your other apps, quit your high stress job thats killing u/ wasting your life/ paid u just to survive, end your phone plan, move out of your expensive apt/ house and into your car or live in the woods. It doesnt matter. This matters. Since you have nothing left, it all sucked anyway, and now minimal worries, ..just make music. Best life ever.. Im not joking . This is exactly what Im doing now. I suggest also to get a used Prius, a ue megaboom Bluetooth speaker, lavender oil, a few Anker rechargeable battery packs, and a nice roomy warm down feather sleeping bag from enlightened equipment. As well as watch some vids on fruitarianism so u dont need doctors anymore. Quality of life and time to enjoy it.

Ive already purchased and installed gadget on my iPad an my new iPhone, but would like to also install it on my old iPhone for use on the road. But it wants to charge me the $40 to install it on my iPhone even though Ive already purchased it.

Gadget is so versatile. Crowded on the phone but still such a good creative tool

I always had my eyeballs on Gadget, when Korg dropped it to half price I snatched it up. Im really having fun with Gadget each individual gadget on its own are fun and very deep they sound spectacular, the arpeggiators are deep, with so many combinations and variables it will take years to get board with this professional sounding app. I also picked up the Abu Dhabi sample slicer app for half price as well. Just the Sample slicer app itself could be a stand alone app. Great sounds modern and retro, it will be interesting to see more gadgets in the future.

I purchased my iPad primarily to use music production apps wherever I go. Of all the apps Ive tried, the Gadget comes across as the most full-featured and polished. Nothing about playing notes feels clunky, you can automate anything, you have full scene and track support, even extensive MIDI support! The built in gadgets remind me of those on the Korg Electribe 2, but better in that you can record 16 bars per track with more parameters to control. I havent tried out the sampler DLC but theres an incredible amount of power out if the box. The only 2 features Id say would make it better are audio tracks and external MIDI instruments, but theres something to be said for how tightly integrated everything is already.

I do wish we had an option of placing the rec/play/pause control bar on the top if we want. For people wondering how to transfer the Darwin or Module gadgets to the iPhone, its not too difficult... Load Gadget up on both devices. Make sure both are running the latest iOS version and both have iCloud enabled within the app. On the iPhone go to the Gadget you want to restore and hit "buy" On the bottom right in blue text it says "Remote install" tap that and there will be instructions further to take you through the process.

I love this app so much I spend all my time and days with this app to me its the number one app that I have . I make music every day and I love it I make trance music and techno music and its a a blessing to make good music thanks to you guys KORG GADGET and the people that made this app thank you so much for making the Ultimate number one app in the world I love you guys . Theres some stuff I think you guys should fix. we should have a Way to log in with a username and password from one I pad to another iPad or phone because I have two iPads and I want the same music on both iPads but I cant because both iPads have different music I make so if you could please have a way to fix that so I could login to my account on both iPads and have the same music on both of them. Also I think you guys should add voice recording so that way you could sing and add voice recording to your music THANK YOU GUYS AT KORG EVERYONE WILL LOVE THIS IF YOU GUYS COULD ADD Logging in and voice recording thank you so much godbless you guys and keep up the good work.

From making beats, to sampling, to melodies, sound fx, and chopping... This app does it all with ease. I love that I can sketch ideas utilizing all the different tools to do so. Being able to make music on my iPad also allows me to make music anywhere I want. I use ableton, so the export "Ableton file" is very convenient. However, I also export as wavs too. So many options and really really fun to work with! Korg crushed it with the this app!

Ive been using Gadget lately to make prog rock and its amazing. This app has been with me a few years now and its always been useful.

Its so easy to use and lets you focus on what matters.. your creativity. Best pocket app DAW for on-the-go tracks made to date.

With this app, I was able to write a complete song. GarageBand has been installed on my phone since I acquired it and while I have dabbled in it, nothing comes as easy as Gadget for great sounds, simple yet powerful application and intuitive functionality. Thank you, Korg.

When this got released in 2013 I sold my newly bought tablet and got an iPad just to use this software. It has not disappointed. I have laid down tons of ideas in this that I fleshed out later, but Ive also made entire tracks inside of the app. Ive been using this app for three years, and now its available on my iPhone. I needed to write a review at this point, since it brought ALL of the functionality from my iPad to my 6s without having to pay for it again. If you are someone that is really comfortable in the piano roll window, this app is for you.
